Hunhoff On 2021 Legislative Session Priorities

As lawmakers prepare for the start of the 2021 South Dakota Legislative session next month, addressing the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic will be among their priorities.
District 18 Senator-Elect Jean Hunhoff says it will be necessary to evaluate whether or not the federal COVID 19 relief dollars are providing enough stimulus to South Dakota’s economy.

Hunhoff says assessing the impact that the coronavirus has had on education and how to provide support to schools is another priority for legislators.

Hunhoff says the state’s healthcare industry has also been impacted by COVID 19.

The 2021 session of the South Dakota Legislature convenes at noon on January 12th.
