After a hiatus in 2020, the South Dakota Shakespeare Festival has announced plans for a live production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, or What You Will at Vermillion’s Prentis Park next June.
Executive Artistic Director Chaya Gordon-Bland says the choice to produce a comedy is a deliberate way to help people address the stresses of living through the COVID 19 pandemic.
With precautions in place to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus Gordon-Bland says unlike previous productions, the focus will be on hiring local talent for the play.
Gordon-Bland says great consideration is being given to not only producing a world-class theater experience for patrons but a safe one as well.
The South Dakota Shakespeare Festival’s production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, or What You Will is set for next June 17th through the 20th at Vermillion’s Prentis Park.
