Yankton County reported 23 more positive tests of COVID-19 on Tuesday, with the active number of cases moving up to 410. There were eight new infections in Bon Homme County yesterday and the number of active cases has dropped sharply down to 170.
The number of active cases of the coronavirus rose a bit statewide on Tuesday and stands at 18,624 in South Dakota. There are 582 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19 in South Dakota.
The state of Nebraska reported more than 22-hundred positive tests of the virus yesterday. There are 91 active cases of the virus in the past two weeks in Cedar County and 62 in Knox County during that time period. There were 19 deaths confirmed Tuesday in Nebraska where the death toll is up to 816 since the pandemic began.
