Weigand Beach No Longer Has Elevated E. Coli Levels

The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy says it is again safe to swim on the Nebraska side of Lewis and Clark Lake. The Beach Watch update posted yesterday says the Weigand Recreation Area beach no longer has elevated E-Coli levels. E-Coli readings at the Lake a week ago reached 1414. 200 is considered a safe level for water recreation.read more »

Road Closure

          The Yankton County Highway Department will be closing 448th Ave between 292nd St and 293rd St for Road Works. The area affected is located northwest of Irene. The closures will begin on Wednesday August 2nd 2023, and remain closed until fixed. The expectation is that the road will be closed one or two days.read more »
