The Mount Marty Lancers were swept by the Concordia Bulldogs last night in their GPAC men’s and women’s soccer doubleheader.
Game one saw the Lancer women fall 1-0 to the Bulldogs, dropping their first GPAC match of the season.
The night ended with a 5-2 loss for the Lancer men. James Starkey and Josh Ndoli both scored for MMU.
The Lancers are back home on Sunday to host Briar Cliff in a doubleheader at Crane-Youngworth Field.
The Class AA Girls Tennis State Tournament begins today in Rapid City, with the Yankton Gazelles set to compete.
In singles play, Karalyn Koerner is the 12-seed at flight one, Mary Rounds is the 8-seed at flight two, Sienna Cuka is the 15-seed at flight three, Harper Anderson is the 7-seed at flight four, Harper Weisenburger is the 10-seed at flight five, and Ramsey Anderson is the 6-seed at flight six.
In doubles, Koerner and Rounds are the 10-seed at flight one, Harper Anderson and Weisenburger are the 12-seed at flight two, and Cuka and Ramsey Anderson are the 10-seed at flight three.
The two-day event will be held between Sioux Park and Parkview in Rapid City. Matches are scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM Mountain Time.

The Gazelles Cheer program is coming off their best performance of the season on Monday, where they scored a season-high 252.5 in Harrisburg.

The Cedar Catholic Trojans look to extend their run of dominance to start the season tomorrow night, as they host Summerland in Hartington.
The Trojans are 6-0 to start the season, outscoring their opponents 286-34, with three games ending in a shutout.
