Absentee voting was suspended for several days in Yankton County until it was resumed last Thursday due to a typographical error on the ballot.
The Yankton County Commission decided to further explain the situation at Tuesday’s commission meeting.
Yankton County State’s Attorney, Tyler Larson, says the typographical error had to do with a potential road tax that was on the ballot.
Yankton County Commissioner, Ryan Heine, says those that have already submitted an absentee ballot do not have to vote again, but can if they want to.
Absentee voting is open until November 2nd.
