Yankton Bucks Golf claimed a 17-7 win over Mitchell yesterday in their annual “Marchand Cup” at Fox Run Golf Course.
The Bucks won in all three phases of the Ryder Cup style competition, winning best ball 3.5-2.5, scramble 5.5-0.5, and head-to-head singles 8-4.
The Bucks now turn their attention to the Class AA State Tournament October 5th and 6th at Lee Park Golf Course in Aberdeen.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Soccer ended their regular season last night, splitting their doubleheader with Sioux Falls Washington.
The Bucks fell to the Warriors in game one, while the Gazelles ended the night with a 5-2 win, led by a brace from Iyana Becker.
At the time of writing, the Gazelles are ranked 6th entering the opening round of the playoffs, with the Bucks ranked 16th.
The SDHSAA Class AA Boys and Girls Soccer Playoffs begin on Tuesday. The Gazelles are currently slated to host Sioux Falls Lincoln, while the Bucks would travel to Sioux Falls to also take on Lincoln.
Yankton Gazelles Volleyball fell in three sets last night to the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers at the Summit Activities Center.
The Chargers claimed the win 25-17, 25-14, 25-15. The Gazelles are now 6-8 on the year following the loss.
Yankton is back home on Tuesday to host Huron. First serve between the Gazelles and Tigers is scheduled for 6:30 PM.

The Bucks are 4th in the latest 11AA Media Polls at 3-2, while the Spartans are ranked 5th with a 4-1 record.
