The Mount Marty Lancers were swept by Doane last night in their first GPAC Volleball match of 2026.
Caitlin Guenther led the Lancers in kills (16), aces (3), and blocks (5) in the loss. The three-set match ended 25-16, 25-21, 25-20.
The Lancers travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa, for four games this weekend, beginning on Friday with matches against Hannibal-LaGrange and William Penn.

Yankton Competitive Cheer and Dance will have their second competition of the season tonight in Mitchell.
Yankton posted a pair of great finishes in their season opener this past weekend, winning the dance competition and placing 4th in cheer.
The event will be held at Mitchell High School, beginning at 5:00 PM.
Yankton High School and Mount Marty University will both compete in Sioux Falls tomorrow night at the Augustana Twilight Meet.
Friday’s event will be the first of the season for the Lancers. The women’s race begins at 8:30 PM with the men’s race scheduled for 9:00.
The Bucks and Gazelles will compete for the second time this season. Races are scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM.
Yankton Gazelles Tennis will travel to Mitchell tomorrow for a varsity triangular at Hitchcock Park.
Yankton will face the Sioux Falls Jefferson Cavaliers first at 10:00 AM, before taking on the Spearfish Spartans at 1:00.
The Cedar Catholic Trojans look to improve to 2-0 tomorrow night, as they host the Schuyler Warriors.
The Trojans defeated Scotus last week 34-10 in their season opener. Quarterback Grady Haberer threw for 189 yards and 4 touchdowns in the win.
