Yankton City Manager Amy Leon presented the proposed 2027 budget for the City of Yankton at Monday night’s city commission meeting.
Leon says the proposed budget this year is $62,474,388, which is down from last year.
Leon says there are still a lot of unknowns with the budget, including sales tax.
Leon says the commission will have a budget ordinance at their next meeting on August 24th, and if ready, could approve the 2027 budget as soon as their meeting on September 14th.
