The SDDOT had a public meeting on Tuesday.
The meeting concerned a proposed highway project on highway 25 near Scotland.
Kevin Heiman with the Yankton SDDOT Office says that the project will improve the safety of the highway.
Heiman says the next step for the project is consulting the nearby landowners.
