Yankton Post 12 dropped the first game of the Class A Senior Legion Baseball State Tournament yesterday, falling 9-0 to Rapid City Post 320.
Yankton were held to three hits as a team in the loss, while Post 320 tallied thirteen hits as a team.
Yankton will face Harrisburg this morning in an elimination game. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 AM Central, 10:00 AM Mountain. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 10:30 Central with Brayden Butler on the call.

The Tabor Bluebirds advanced to the District 6B Amateur Baseball Championship game last night with a 12-2 win over Lesterville.
Josiah Peterson provided an impressive two-way performance for Tabor, throwing seven shutout innings on the mound with nine strikeouts, while going 4-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored.
Lesterville were held to three hits as a team, one each from Ethan Wishon, Derek Quame, and Dawson Bietz. Bietz drove in both runs in the loss.
Tabor will play in the District Championship on Saturday, while Lesterville will now face Freeman on Thursday in a state qualifier.
The Wynot Expos stopped a late-inning rally to defeat the Crofton Bluejays 7-5 last night in the District 6B Amateur Baseball Tournament.
Wynot registered twelve hits as a team, led by a 4-for-5 performance from Lee Heimes. Jesse Lundal earned the win on the mound, tallying four strikeouts over six innings of work.
Austin Gobel led Crofton at the plate in the loss, ending his night 3-for-5, scoring three of the Bluejays’ five runs.
Wynot advances to the District Championship on Sunday with the win. Crofton will take on Menno on Thursday in a state qualifier.
