Entering the final day of June, Yankton Post 12 are ranked 2nd in the latest South Dakota Legion Baseball standings with an 11-4 record.
Yankton are coming off a 4-1 stretch out west last week, with their lone loss coming to #1 Rapid City Post 22, with the two teams splitting the doubleheader.
As it stands, Yankton has six more regular-season games that count towards the league standings. Yankton would host #15 Huron in a potential first-round playoff series if the postseason began today.

The Yankton Lakers hold a five-game lead in the South Central Amateur Baseball League standings, with less than a month remaining in the regular season.
Yankton is undefeated in SCL play thus far, holding a 12-0 record while outscoring their opponents 179-44.
Lesterville is currently second in the league at 6-4, half a game ahead of both Freeman and Tabor at 5-4.
