Yankton Post 12 has their first of five games over the next three days this evening, as they take on Rapid City Post 320 in Rapid City.
Yankton is currently ranked 1st in the latest SD Legion Baseball standings with a 7-3 record. Post 320 enters ranked 5th, also at 7-3.
First pitch between Yankton and Rapid City Post 320 is scheduled for 7:00 PM Mountain time in Rapid City.
The Yankton Lakers are ranked 4th in the latest South Dakota Class A Amateur Baseball polls.
The Lakers currently hold the top spot in the South Central League with a 9-0 record in league play.
Two other SCL teams were also named in this week’s polls. Tabor is tied for 10th in Class B, while Lesterville is also receiving votes.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball Coach Bryan Petersen announced the hiring of Jahenns Manigat as an assistant on Tuesday.
Manigat joins SDSU after playing overseas for over a decade, before spending the last two years as a collegiate assistant at Creighton and Murray State.
Manigat fills the position that was available following the departure of Cole Christian, who took a similar position at North Texas earlier this month.
South Dakota State University has announced that the Jackrabbit Club, the primary fundraising organization for SDSU athletics, surpassed $3 million in donations in one fiscal year for the first time in history.
Along with the impressive milestone, this year’s donations continue a trend for the Jackrabbit Club that has seen at least $2 million raised for the fourth straight year.
