Yankton High School athlete Quinn Brinkman is attempting to raise $2,500 to compete at the Nike Outdoor Track and Field Nationals, June 18th through 21st in Eugene, Oregon.
Brinkman just finished an impressive junior season at YHS, placing 2nd in the high jump, 3rd in the triple jump, and 12th in the long jump at the Class AA State Track and Field Championships.

Yankton Post 12 Legion Baseball travels to Aberdeen this afternoon for a doubleheader against Aberdeen Smittys.
Post 12 are 2-1 in league play this season, and are coming off a semifinal appearance at this past weekend’s Lewis & Clark Classic.
First pitch of game one is scheduled for 1:00 PM today, with game two scheduled for 3:00 PM.
The Yankton Fury Lancers took home a division championship at the Carol Pipgras Summer Showdown youth softball tournament in Sioux Falls.
The Fury Lancers took a 6-4 victory over the Wayne Dirt Devils on Sunday to claim the top spot.
Jazlin Romero ended the day with two hits at the plate while striking out five batters for the win in the circle. Jordyn Kudera tallied a pair of hits as well, including a triple for Yankton.
Yankton shut out Sturgis earlier in the day, 6-0, to earn their spot in the championship. Kudera starred again, finishing 2 for 3 with a triple.
The Yankton Lakers are the #1 team in the South Central League standings, going 6-0 through their first slate of games.
Lesterville currently sits second in the league, 1.5 games out of first with a 4-1 record. Freeman (3-2) and Tabor (3-3) round out the top four in the standings.
All eight teams are set to return to league play on Thursday. Tabor hosts Wynot, Lesterville hosts Crofton, Menno hosts Irene, and Yankton hosts Freeman.
