South Dakota Chamber President Ryan Budmayr and Mike Bockorny, the CEO of Economic Development Professionals Association, were in Yankton Tuesday to recap the 101st South Dakota Legislative session.
Budmayr says when the session started, he didn’t think any property tax bills would pass, but that changed once SB 96 and 245 started gaining momentum.
Bockorny says the high number of votes against the state budget in the House is concerning.
The budget passed in the House 50-17.
