Mount Marty Baseball has moved up the opening half of their four-game series with Morningside, as the first two games will now be contested this afternoon.
Game one at Riverside Field is scheduled for 4:00 PM. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 3:30.
Yankton Bucks Baseball has announced their Saturday doubleheader against Mitchell will now be played on Sunday at Riverside Field.
The change was made due to the forecasted weather in the area. Game one is scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, with game two to follow.
Yankton High School athletes Luke Moeller and Sam Gokie officially signed on to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level yesterday afternoon.
Moeller signed with Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, to compete in their tennis program. Moeller is a multi-sport athlete for Yankton, currently competing for the tennis program after wrapping up an impressive season with the Bucks Hockey program in March.
Gokie announced he will be staying home for the foreseeable future, signing with Mount Marty for baseball. Gokie is the reigning Class A High School player of the Year for Baseball. In his senior season, Gokie and the Bucks are 8-0 to start the campaign.
Mount Marty Softball travels to Mitchell tonight for a GPAC doubleheader against Dakota Wesleyan.
Game one is scheduled for 6:30 PM at Dr. McWhirter Field in Mitchell, with game two to follow.
Yankton Bucks Tennis is in Huron today for a triangular against the Tigers and Aberdeen Central.
Yankton will play the hosts, Huron, at 9:00 AM, before taking on Aberdeen Central at 12:30 PM.
Yankton Track and Field will compete in the rescheduled Corn Palace Relays today at Joe Quintal Field in Mitchell.
The event was originally scheduled for this weekend, but was moved due to forecasted weather. Field events begin at noon, with running events set for 1:30 PM.
Yankton Gazelles Softball returns home tonight to host the Sioux Falls Washington Warriors.
Today’s game is the third in four days for the Gazelles, coming off losses to Sioux Falls Jefferson on Monday and Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Tuesday.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 PM this evening at Sertoma Park in Yankton.
