The Stone Church Bridge in Yankton County is set to go under construction next week.
Greg Rothschadl, with the South Dakota Department of Transportation, says the bridge is scheduled for a total replacement.
Rothschadl says the bridge will close Tuesday, with the project scheduled to be completed in November of 2027.
Rothschadl says that while the bridge is closed, traffic will be diverted onto the designated detour route at the intersection of 431st Avenue to Highway 46, Highway 25, and Highway 18.
