Mount Marty Baseball begins GPAC Tournament play today against #1-seeded Concordia in Seward, Nebraska.

The Lancers were swept by the Bulldogs in their two-game season series, which took place last weekend in Seward. The winner of tonight’s game will play at noon tomorrow with the loser playing a win-or-go-home game at 3:00.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 PM this evening, pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:30. Brayden Butler will be on the call.

Mount Marty went 1 and 1 on day one of the GPAC Softball Tournament, losing to Northwestern 7 to 0 in game one before eliminating Concordia 6 to 3.

Reese Peterson went 2 for 4 with a run scored for the Lancers in their win. Makayla Graunke got the win on the mound against Concordia.

The Lancers resume tournament play at 10:00 AM this morning against Morningside.

Yankton Gazelle Softball will be on the road tomorrow for a matchup against O’Gorman in Sioux Falls.

Yankton is currently 10th in Class AA at 6 and 7 on the year. O’Gorman enters with a 7 and 4 overall record, 7th in Class AA.

First pitch is scheduled for 10:00 AM tomorrow morning at Sherman Park in Sioux Falls.

Yankton Track and Field will send athletes to compete in two separate events tomorrow, both held in Sioux Falls.

First is the O’Gorman Invitational at O’Gorman High School. Events are scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM tomorrow morning.

Second in the Howard Wood Dakota Relays at Howard Wood Field. Events will begin at 1:00 PM tomorrow afternoon.

Yankton Gazelles Golf will host their home meet tomorrow morning at Hillcrest Country Club in Yankton.

Golfers from 18 schools, including Yankton, are scheduled to compete in the event. Tee time is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Friday.
