Mount Marty Baseball split their doubleheader against Jamestown yesterday, dropping game one 2 to 0 before winning game two 9 to 0.

The Lancers were held to 5 hits as a team in game one. Shugo Kondo led the way at the plate, going 2 for 3 with a double.

Mount Marty scored 9 runs on 6 hits in game two. Bodi Wallar and Aidan Chang tallied 3 RBI each, while Noah McCandless pitched the complete game shutout and got the win on the mound.

Next up for the Lancers is a rescheduled doubleheader today against Morningside. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 4:00 PM. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 3:30. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

Yankton Gazelles Softball fell to 0 and 3 on the year last night, as they were defeated by Sioux Falls Roosevelt 9 to 0.

Roosevelt’s Desiree Hinsch got the victory on the mound for the Rough Riders, striking out 20 Gazelles in the win.

Yankton is back in action on Thursday, hosting Rapid City Central at Sertoma Park in Yankton. First pitch is slated for 5:00 PM.

Mount Marty Softball will host Hastings College today for a doubleheader that was rescheduled from this past weekend.

The Lancers are 10 and 16 on the year after splitting a pair of games with Briar Cliff last week. Hastings is 13 and 15 overall, going 1 and 1 in their last doubleheader against Concordia.

First pitch of game one is scheduled for 3:00 PM this afternoon.

Yankton Bucks Tennis has a dual in Sioux Falls today against O’Gorman. The Bucks look to remain undefeated this year, entering today’s matches with a 9 and 0 record. Matches will be held at McKennan Park in Sioux Falls, beginning at 4:00 PM.

Yankton Track and Field is set to compete in Brandon today in a triangular at Brandon Valley High School. Yankton will compete against the Lynx and the Mitchell Kernels, beginning at 4:00 PM.

Mount Marty Women’s Golf is currently 5th as a team following day one of the Augustana Invite in Sioux Falls.

Kelsey Heath leads the Lancers on the individual leaderboard in 5th. Heath is followed by Tanna Lehfeldt, tied for 20th, Abby Greenhof, tied for 26th, Caitlyn Stimpson, tied for 36th, and Tatum Jensen, tied for 42nd.

The final day of the Augustana Invite is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls.

Mount Marty Men’s Golf is entering the 2nd day of the Dakota Wesleyan Spring Invite in Mitchell today. 

Tee time for the final round is scheduled for 9:30 AM at the Lakeview Golf Course in Mitchell.

The South Dakota Coyotes and South Dakota State Jackrabbits Women’s Basketball teams each had two players honored as Academic All-League on Monday.

Only five players across the Summit League were selected for the team. For USD, Nicole Avila-Ambrosi and Grace Larkins were each named to the team. For SDSU,  Paige Meyer and Tori Nelson were both selected.

The fifth and final Academic All-League honoree was North Dakota’s Kacie Borowicz.
