Yankton Bucks Tennis will host Sioux City Heelan (HE-len) and Vermillion today for a triangular.

The Bucks are 4 and 0 to start the year, including three 9-0 sweeps over Rapid City Central, St. Thomas More, and Spearfish over the weekend.

 Due to inclement weather, the event will now occur indoors at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center. Matches are slated to begin at 11:00 AM.

Mount Marty Men’s Golf reopened their season yesterday at the Park University Spring Classic in Kansas City, finishing day one in 5th as a team.

Wout Kerkhofs and Bennett Cassens are joint highest on the leaderboard for the Lancers heading into day two, as they are tied for 10th in the event. Ted Bengston is currently third highest in 20th.

Today’s round will begin at 10:00 AM at The Deuce Golf Club in Kansas City.

Mount Marty Women’s Golf is currently scheduled to start their spring campaign tomorrow with a duel against Briar Cliff in Sioux City, Iowa. The matchup would be held at the Two Rivers Golf Club.

Mount Marty Softball is set to return to action tomorrow, as they take on Northwestern in a GPAC doubleheader.

The Lancers enter the contest with a 9 and 13 overall record and are 2 and 2 in conference play.

Tomorrow’s games will be held at a neutral site, the Dordt Dome in Sioux Center, Iowa. First pitch of game one is set for 5:00 PM Wednesday.

South Dakota Women’s Basketball hosts Northern Arizona tonight in the 2nd round of the Women’s National Invitational Tournament.

The Coyotes defeated UC Riverside in round one, 72 to 57, to advance to this matchup. This will be the first game of the WNIT for Northern Arizona.

Tipoff from the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion is scheduled for 7:00 PM this evening.

The University of South Dakota Athletic Department has announced the promotions of several faculty in the past week.

Jarren Duffy was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Fan Engagement late last week. As part of the new role, Duffy will have oversight of communications, Coyote Sports Properties and serve as the liaison between athletics and Sodexo. Duffy will also be the sports administrator for men’s and women’s swimming & diving and the women’s tennis teams.

Yesterday, USD announced three more promotions within the Athletics Department. Alexa McMillen has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment and Operations. Madison Mills has been named the new Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Excellence. Caleb Christensen will be the Director of Video Production and Creative Content.

All promotions are effective immediately.
