Mount Marty Men’s Basketball was defeated by Midland on senior night last night, 89 to 85.

The Lancers were led in scoring by Cole Bowen with 19. He was followed by a trio of seniors, as Caden Casey had 15, Josh Arlt scored 13, and Tristan Ferguson finished with 10.

With the loss, Mount Marty end the 2023-24 season with a 6 and 20 overall record, 2 and 18 in GPAC play.

Mount Marty Women’s Basketball fell to Midland last night 80 to 72, on what was senior night for the Lancers.

Maria Parsley led MMU in scoring with 17 points, adding 6 rebounds. Sidney Thue finished with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The Lancers end their season on Saturday with a road matchup in Omaha against the College of St. Mary.

Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Basketball will head west tomorrow for a class AA doubleheader against Spearfish.

Both Yankton squads enter 16th in the latest class AA standings, while the Spearfish boys are 14th, and the girls are 6th.

The girls will play first at 7:00 PM with the boys to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 6:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling will have five athletes competing in this year’s state tournament, beginning today in Sioux Falls.

Edly Amaro will compete at 285, Shayce Platt at 150, Dylan Sloan at 138, and Peyton Eustace at 215 for the Bucks. Jaclyn Kite will represent the Gazelles at 138.

Matches are set to begin at 10:00 AM this morning at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls.

Cedar Catholic Boys Basketball will compete for the C2-8 subdistrict title tonight, as they host Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.

The Trojans advanced to the final with a 68 to 26 win over Osmond-Randolph, while LCC punched their ticket with a 76 to 55 victory over Crofton.

Crofton Warriors Girls Basketball will host Ord tomorrow night in the Class C2 District Finals, with the winner advancing to the state tournament. 

Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM tomorrow night in Crofton. Coverage on Riverfront Sports 94.3 FM will begin at 5:45.

South Dakota Men’s Basketball returns home tonight, as they host the Kansas City Roos inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Tipoff is set for 7:00 PM.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball will play host to the Denver Pioneers tonight. Tipoff from Frost Arena is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
