Mount Marty Men’s Basketball is now 6 and 18 on the year, following an 88 to 62 loss last night to Hastings in Hastings, Nebraska.

Jake Jensen led the Lancers in scoring with 16 points on the night. Cole Bowen added 10 points and 6 rebounds for Mount Marty.

Next up for the Lancers is a road matchup with Jamestown on Saturday.

Mount Marty Women’s Basketball fell to 5 and 20 on the year, following last night’s 87 to 70 loss to Hastings.

Maria Parsley and Sidney Thue tied for the team-high in scoring with 16 points. Thue finished just shy of a double-double with a team-high 8 rebounds.

Next up for the Lancers is a road matchup with Jamestown on Saturday.

Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Basketball will be at home tonight, as they host the Tea Area Titans for an inter-class matchup.

On the boys’ side, Yankton is 3 and 13 overall coming off of a loss to Sioux Falls Christian on Tuesday, while the Titans are 9 and 9 this year, following a loss to Brandon Valley.

On the girls’ side, the Gazelles are 4 and 12 on the year following their loss to Sioux Falls Christian on Tuesday. Tea Area is currently 14 and 4 overall, defeating Aberdeen Central in their last game.

Due to projected winter weather this evening, the start time of the games has been moved up. The girls will now play first at 4:00 PM this evening with the boys to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 3:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

The GPAC Indoor Track and Field Championships begin tomorrow, with Mount Marty University hosting this year’s events at the Ruth Donohoe First Dakota Fieldhouse in Yankton. Day one of the two-day event is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM on Friday.

Nebraska High School Girls’ Basketball Subdistrict Finals are scheduled to take place today, as Wynot looks to claim the D2-6 title, with Crofton and Cedar Catholic battling in C2-8.

Wynot will take on Howells-Dodge tonight in Wynot at 7:00 PM. Crofton and Cedar Catholic will play in Crofton at 6:30 PM this evening. Coverage for the game can be found via Riverfront Sports 94.3 FM.

The Mount Marty Archery team competed in the Vegas Shoot in Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this month, taking 3rd as a team in the world’s largest indoor archery competition.

Zoe Woods and Danielle Pollard led the Lancers in the event, with Pollard taking home a 2nd place medal, and Woods taking a 3rd place finish. Also for the Lancers, Micheal Plummer finished 7th in recurve flight 1.

The Lancers will host the Indoor Nationals this weekend for their next event, beginning tomorrow at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center.

Yankton Bucks Hockey will be in action tomorrow night, as they host Sioux Center inside the Yankton Ice Arena. 

Yankton enters the contest at 4-12-0-1 on the year, 5 points out of a playoff spot with 6 games remaining. Sioux Center is currently a single point ahead of Yankton, as both teams make a playoff push down the stretch.

Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 PM tomorrow night.

South Dakota Men’s Basketball makes the trip to Omaha, Nebraska tonight for a matchup with the Omaha Mavericks. Tipoff from Omaha is set for 7:00 PM.

South Dakota Women’s Basketball returns home this evening, as they host the Omaha Mavericks inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Tipoff is set for 6:00 PM.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball will be on the road tonight for a Summit League game against the Kansas City Roos. Tipoff from Kansas City is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball looks to remain undefeated in Summit League play tonight with a home game against Kansas City. Tipoff from Frost Arena is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
