Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Basketball will be on the road this evening, as they take on Sioux Falls Christian for an interclass double-header.

On the boys’ side, the Bucks are coming off a 30-point victory on Saturday against Rapid City Central, while Sioux Falls Christian are undefeated at 16 and 0, with wins over multiple Class AA schools.

On the girls’ side, Yankton is coming off of a loss to Rapid City Central on Saturday, while Sioux Falls Christian has won three straight.

The girls will play first at 6:30 PM with the boys to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 6:00. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Basketball will be on the road tomorrow night for a GPAC double-header against Hastings.

On the women’s side, MMU is 5 and 19 overall following a loss to Northwestern on Saturday, while Hastings is 12 and 12 coming off a loss to Morningside on Saturday.

On the men’s side, the Lancers are 6 and 17 on the year following a weekend loss to Northwestern, while Hastings is 17 and 7 and currently riding a three-game win streak.

The women will play first at 5:00 PM tomorrow night with the men to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT begins at 4:15. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

The Yankton Quarterback Club will host their weekly meeting at noon tomorrow at the River Rocks Event Center in Yankton. 

This week’s featured guest speakers will be Yankton High School Head Track & Field Coach Geoff Gross and Mount Marty University Head Track & Field and Cross Country Coach Dan Fitzsimmons.

The Nebraska High School Girls Basketball Sub-Districts have begun across the state, and a handful of area teams will open sub-district play today.

In Subdistrict D2-6, the hosts Wynot will take on Wausa this evening. Wausa advanced to the game with a 37 to 28 win over Winside last night.

In Class C2-8, the hosts Crofton will take on Hartington-Newcastle tonight. In the same subdistrict, Cedar Catholic will take on Ponca this evening as well.

A new South Dakota Prep Basketball Media Poll was released yesterday, and the Yankton Bucks and Gazelles opponents this evening, Sioux Falls Christian, are ranked highly in Class A. Sioux Falls Christian is #1 on the boys side and #3 in the girls poll. Locally, the Vermillion girls continue to receive votes in Class A. Full Polls for all classes are listed below.
