Mount Marty Men’s Basketball was defeated by the Dordt Defenders in GPAC play last night, 89 to 80.

Cole Bowen had a 22-point 11-rebound double-double for the Lancers, while Freshman Rugby Ryken had a career-high 21 points and a team-high 6 assists in the loss.

Next up for the Lancers is a home matchup with Morningside on Saturday in Yankton.

Mount Marty Women’s Basketball fell to the top-ranked Dordt Defenders in Yankton last night, 100 to 64.

Isabelle Ellwein led the Lancers in scoring with 13 points on the night. She was followed by Alexus Motley who posted a career-high 10 points, and Kaity Hove who added 10 points of her own.

Next up for the Lancers is a home matchup with Morningside on Saturday in Yankton.

Yankton Gazelles Basketball will host the Pierre Governors tonight for an ESD matchup inside the Summit Activities Center.

The Gazelles are 4 and 8 on the year coming off of a 56 to 35 win over Douglas last weekend, while Pierre are 9 and 5 following a loss to Harrisburg on Tuesday.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM with pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV beginning at 6:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

Yankton Bucks Basketball will be on the road tomorrow night, as they travel to the state capital to take on the Pierre Governors.

The Bucks are 2 and 10 on the year following a loss to O’Gorman on Monday. The Governors are 8 and 6 entering the contest, having lost two straight to O’Gorman and Harrisburg.

Tipoff from Pierre is set for 7:00 PM on Friday, with pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV beginning at 6:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

Former University of South Dakota Quarterback Chris Streveler has announced his return to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League, following a 4-year stint in the NFL.

Streveler, who has spent the last 4-years with primarily the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals, will return to the same Winnipeg team that he helped lead to a Grey Cup in 2019.

Across two previous CFL seasons, Streveler recorded 2,698 yards and 19 touchdowns through the air, adding another 1,167 yards and 22 touchdowns on the ground for the Blue Bombers.

South Dakota Men’s Basketball will be at home this evening, as they take on North Dakota in Vermillion. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

South Dakota Women’s Basketball will be on the road tonight, as they take on North Dakota in Grand Forks. Tipoff is set for 7:00 PM.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball returns to the court this evening, as they host North Dakota State inside Frost Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball takes a trip to Fargo tonight, as they take on the North Dakota State Bison. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 PM.
