Yankton Buck Basketball will be on the road in Brandon, SD tonight, taking on the Brandon Valley Lynx.

The Bucks are 1 and 8 on the year following a loss to Sioux Falls Roosevelt last Friday night. Brandon Valley enters the contest at 5 and 3, winning three straight games, and five of their last six.

 Tipoff from Brandon is set for 7:00 PM with pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV beginning at 6:30. Brayden Butler will be on the call.

Yankton Gazelles Basketball hosts their third straight home game this evening, matching up with the Brandon Valley Lynx.

The Gazelles are coming off of a loss to top-ranked O’Gorman on Monday, and currently hold a 3 and 7 record. Brandon Valley is 6 and 3 on the year, ranked 7th in Class AA.

Tipoff from Yankton is scheduled for 7:00 PM, with pregame coverage on KYNT Plus and KYNTV beginning at 6:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Basketball travel to Sioux City, Iowa tomorrow for a GPAC doubleheader against Briar Cliff.

Both Lancer teams were swept in a doubleheader with Concordia on Wednesday, while both Charger squads are also coming off of losses to Dordt.

The women play first at 2:00 PM with the men to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT begins at 1:15 on Saturday. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

Yankton Gymnastics finished 2nd in their triangular against Estelline-Hendricks and Sisseton last night, scoring a 134.25 as a team.

Yankton had two athletes finish in the top 5 of the all-around competition, led by a 2nd-place finish from Ava Koller. Burkley Olson also cracked the top 5, finishing 5th on the night.

Next up for Yankton is the ESD Conference Meet in Watertown tomorrow. Events begin at 2:00 PM.

Mount Marty Track & Field will compete in the NAIA preview today, hosted by South Dakota State University in Brookings. Events will be held at Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex, beginning at 3:00 PM.

Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling travels to Brookings tomorrow morning for an invitational. Matches are scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM.

South Dakota Men’s Basketball was defeated by the Denver Pioneers last night in double overtime, 111 to 110.

Kaleb Stewart set a new career high in scoring with 44 points in the loss. Denver’s Tommy Bruner would score a game-high 49 points to lead the Pioneers.

Next up for USD is a road matchup with the Kansas City Roos tomorrow night. Tipoff is set for 7:00 PM.

South Dakota Women’s Basketball got back in the win column last night, defeating the Denver Pioneers 78 to 70.

Kendall Holmes tallied a game-high 22 points in the win. Holmes was joined in double figures by Natalie Mazurek, who scored 16 points of her own.

Next up for USD is a home matchup with Kansas City tomorrow afternoon. Tipoff from Vermillion is set for 2:00 PM Saturday.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball improved to 12 and 9 last night with a 75 to 66 win over Kansas City.

Luke Appel led the Jackrabbits in scoring with 19 on the night. Charlie Easley managed to secure an 11-point 12-rebound double-double in the win for SDSU.

Next up for SDSU is a road matchup with Oral Roberts tomorrow night. Tipoff from Tulsa, Oklahoma is set for 7:00 PM.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball defeated the Kansas City Roos last night, 72 to 49.

SDSU was led by Paige Meyer and Tori Nelson who each scored a team-high 14 points in the win.

Next up for SDSU is a home game against Oral Roberts on Sunday.
