Highway 52 west of Yankton will be under construction for the foreseeable future.
Yankton Area Engineer for the DOT Greg Rothschadl says that the current road work is still in the beginning stages of a multi-phase plan.
Rothschadl says that the final phase of the project will begin next month, and is scheduled to wrap up in the middle of October.
Rothschadl says the work will be done in segments to prevent a full closure of the road, but lane closures will be common until the project is completed.
