The South Dakota Department of Transportation has begun closing the north lane of westbound Highway 52 between Yankton and Lewis and Clark Lake as part of the highway reconstruction project.
Concrete cutting has begun on the eastern end of the project, requiring one lane of the roadway to be closed on the concrete portion of 52 which extends from the Lewis and Clark Recreation Area to West City Limits Road.
The project description says broken concrete will be replaced and the surface will eventually be milled and new pavement will be laid down.
