The Yankton Bucks will hit the road and travel to Rapid City for the Class AA state basketball tournament beginning on Thursday, and KYNT has a special preview show focused on their journey to this point.

The Road to Rapid will air tomorrow morning, at 9:00 AM, and tomorrow evening at 6:00 PM on KYNT.

As for the tournament itself, the Bucks will square off against Sioux Falls Washington in the opening round on Thursday at 2:45 PM central time. Pregame on KYNT and KYNTV beginning at 2:15.

The Mount Marty Lancers baseball team have been rolling to start the season as they are (17-4) heading into their GPAC opener this weekend, and a major part of that success has been catcher Billy Hancock.

Hancock leads the Lancers with 6 home runs on the season, giving him a total of 44 in his career, which is currently 3rd all time at MMU. Hancock trails 2nd place Tim Lorang, who had 45 career home runs, and all-time Lancer leader Jason Nelson who hit 46 homers during his time at MMU. With more than twenty-five games left, Hancock is currently on pace to break the record by the end of the season.

Hancock’s next opportunity to move up in the record books will be this weekend, as the Lancers are currently scheduled to have a 4-game series against the Briar Cliff Chargers, weather permitting.

The NCAA women’s basketball tournament bracket was released over the weekend, and The South Dakota State Jackrabbits know who they’ll face in the opening round.

SDSU enter the NCAA tournament as a 9-seed following a dominant season that saw them go (28-5) and amass an undefeated record in Summit League play en route to a conference title. The Jacks will meet #8 USC in the opening round, as the Trojans went (21-9) on the year, with an (11-7) record in Pac-12 play.

The Jackrabbits and Trojans will play at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Virginia, as top seeded Virginia Tech will host the first two rounds. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM central on Friday.
