The Yankton Bucks and Gazelles basketball squads return to the court tomorrow night for a home double header against the Spearfish Spartans as both teams look to rebound following losses on Tuesday.

Both games are important heading into the postseason. As it stands with two games left, the Bucks would be the #4 seed in the SoDak 16 and host Huron, while the Gazelles would get the 16th seed and travel to #1 Sioux Falls Washington.

The Gazelles tip off first at 6:00 PM with the Bucks to follow, coverage for both games can be found on KYNT and KYNTV starting with the pregame show at 5:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

            The Mount Marty Lancers baseball team are 6-2 on the year as they gear up for their home opener against Valley City State University on Saturday.

            The Lancers and the Vikings will meet twice Saturday afternoon, first pitch of game one is set for 1:00 PM.

            The Mount Marty softball team are undefeated through four games as they travel to Davenport, Iowa on Saturday for a pair of games against Saint Ambrose University and Mount Mercy.

            The Lancers will meet Saint Ambrose first at 9:00 AM Saturday morning, their second game against Mount Mercy is scheduled for 1:00 PM.

            The South Dakota High School Wrestling State Tournament begins today in Rapid City, as seven Yankton wrestlers are set to compete in the event.

            Edly Amaro, Shayce Platt, Damian Janish, Peyton Eustace, Dylan Sloan, Jaclyn Kyte, and Naveah Leonard are all looking to bring a state title back to Yankton.

The South Dakota Coyote men and women will meet the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles this evening in a pair of Summit League basketball matchups.

The women will meet in Tulsa, Oklahoma as the Coyotes look to sweep ORU in their season series. The men will play inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center as USD looks to avenge their 103-53 loss to the Golden Eagles earlier this year.

Both games are scheduled to tipoff at 7:00 PM.

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits men’s and women’s basketball teams will meet the Kansas City Roos tonight in a split double header.

The women will play in Kansas City at 7:00 PM, while the men will battle inside Frost Arena at the same time. Both the Jackrabbit men and women are 1-0 against Kansas City on the year.

The Nebraska High School Boys Subdistrict Basketball Finals are currently scheduled for this evening, and a pair of area high schools have an opportunity to punch their ticket to the District Finals.

In Class C2-6, top seeded Cedar Catholic will host #3 seeded Ponca at 7:00 PM. Coverage for that game will be provided on Riverfront Sports beginning at 6:45.

In Class D2-4, The #1 Wynot Blue Devils will meet the #2 Wausa Vikings at Wynot High School. Tipoff for this game is set for 7:00 PM.

Notice: Changes in weather in the early morning hours could lead to these games being postponed to a later date. Some Class A South Dakota regionals have already been moved so it’s possible schools in Nebraska could be forced to do the same.

The Nebraska High School Girls Basketball District Finals are set for tomorrow night, and multiple area schools are looking to punch their ticket to the state tournament.

In Class C2, the top-seeded Crofton Warriors will meet Freeman at Columbus Lakeview High School at 7:00 PM

In Class D1, the #4 Hartington-Cedar Catholic Trojans  will host #13 Niobrara-Verdigre at 7:00 PM.

In Class D2, the #9 Wynot Wynot Blue Devils will face #8 Overton at Seward High School at 6:00 PM.
