The Mount Marty Lancers hosted Doane last night in a GPAC basketball double header. KYNT broadcaster Tehl Tanner broke down the two games.

            The Mount Marty men’s season is officially over after last night’s game, while the Lancer women’s season finale against the College of Saint Mary will be on Saturday at 2:00. Coverage on KYNT and KYNTV will begin at 1:30 PM. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

Congratulations once again to the six senior members of the MMU men’s basketball team on their Lancer careers.

            The Yankton Bucks and Gazelles basketball teams travel to Tea this evening to take on the Titans. The Gazelles tip off first at 6:30 PM with the Bucks to follow. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:00 on KYNT and KYNTV, Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

            The Mount Marty Lancers indoor track and field team will be in Seward, Nebraska tomorrow afternoon as they will compete in the GPAC Indoor Conference Championship. Tomorrow is day one of the two day meet, with events set to begin at 2:00 PM.

            The Mount Marty Lancers baseball team will be down in Texas tomorrow morning for a pair of matchups with Tabor College and Southwestern Assemblies of God. First pitch for game one is set for 10:00 AM, with game two scheduled to begin at 12:45 PM.

            The Yankton Bucks wrestling squad will be in Brandon, South Dakota tomorrow afternoon for a regional tournament at Brandon Valley high school. Matches are set to begin at 2:00 PM, this is the last meet on the schedule for the Bucks before the State Tournament in Rapid City next week.

            The South Dakota Coyotes men’s and women’s basketball teams will square off with the Omaha Mavericks tonight in a Summit League double header.

            The USD women will host Omaha in Vermillion, while the Coyote men will play the Mavs inside Baxter Arena in Omaha. Both games are scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM this evening.

            The South Dakota State Jackrabbits men’s and women’s basketball squads have a pair of meetings tonight against the Denver Pioneers. The SDSU women will meet Denver inside of Frost Arena, while the Jackrabbit men will battle the Pioneers in Denver, Colorado. The women are set to tip off at 7:00 PM, with the men’s game scheduled to begin at 8:00.

The final round of the Nebraska High School Girls Basketball Sub-Districts are set to take place this evening, with several area teams looking to punch their tickets to the district finals next week.

            In Class C2-5, the top seeded Crofton Warriors will host the #2 seeded Ponca Indians at 7:00 PM this evening.

            In Class D1-4, the #1 seeded Hartington-Cedar Catholic Trojans will meet #2 Norfolk Catholic at 7:00 PM.

In D2-4, the Wynot Blue Devils will travel to meet the top seeded Humphrey St. Francis at 7:00 PM.

The winners of each Sub-District, plus the top four wildcard teams will advance to the District Finals on February 24th.
