The Yankton Bucks basketball team will take the court tonight as they host the #2 ranked Sioux Falls Lincoln Patriots at 7:00 PM inside the Summit Activities Center. Coverage for tonight’s game can be found on KYNT and KYNTV beginning with the pregame show at 6:30 PM. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

            The Yankton Gazelles basketball team is off tonight, but will return to the hardwood on Thursday in a road matchup against Brandon Valley.

            In other Yankton basketball news, the Bucks have reentered the top 5 in the latest class AA media poll. The latest top 5 reads as follows:

            The Mount Marty Lancers men’s and women’s basketball teams will make the trip to Jamestown, North Dakota tomorrow night for a GPAC double feature against the Jamestown Jimmies. The women will play first, as they’re set to tip off at 6:00 PM, with the men to follow. Coverage for both games can be found on KYNT beginning at 5:30 PM, Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

            The Yankton Gazelles Gymnastics squad hosted a duel against O’Gorman last night at River City Gymnastics & Cheer in Yankton. O’Gorman would come out victorious over Yankton, winning 144.65 to 134.05. Yankton 8th grader Burkley Olsen had the 4th highest all-around score of the meet, and the highest for the Gazelles at 33.75. Junior Ava Koller had the highest single event score for Yankton, earning a 9.3 on her floor routine.

Yankton gymnastics will return on Thursday for a duel against Hendricks Public, in Hendricks, Minnesota, beginning at 6:30 PM.

The South Dakota Coyotes women’s basketball team took the trip to Colorado last night to play the Denver Pioneers, and came away with a 59 to 50 victory. Sophomore Grace Larkins led the way for the Coyotes with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists, while Redshirt Freshman Carley Duffney also contributed 17 points to the win. Next up for the Coyote women is a meeting with the Western Illinois Leathernecks Thursday night in Vermillion. The Coyote men will also return to the hardwood on Thursday, on the road, against Western Illinois.

            The South Dakota State Jackrabbits men’s and women’s basketball teams will also return to action on Thursday, as they have a split double header set against The St. Thomas Tommies. The women will play inside Frost Arena in Brookings, while the men will play in St. Paul, Minnesota.
