  • The State Tournaments for all three classes of South Dakota High School Volleyball are set. The tournaments are at the Denny Sanford Premiere Center in Sioux Falls and run Thursday through Saturday.

BASKETBALL

  • The South Dakota State University Jackrabbit Women’s Basketball Team secured a huge program victory last night, defeating Mississippi State 63-62 at Frost Arena in Brookings. The Jacks were led by Myah Selland who tallied 18 points. The Jacks now (2-1) turn their attention to the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis Classic in the Bahamas this Saturday through Monday, where they play three games, starting with UCLA on Saturday. Tipoff scheduled for 130pm CT.
  • The (1-1) SDSU Men’s Basketball team will play their first regular season game in-state tonight as they square off against (1-1) St. Bonaventure at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls. Tipoff is scheduled for 7pm.
  • The South Dakota men’s basketball team added three players to the 2023 class on National Signing Day. USD head coach Eric Peterson welcomed Isaac Bruns, Jake Brack, and Shey Eberwein to the 2023 Coyote men’s basketball class. Bruns is a Dakota Valley High School standout, Brack hails from Omaha, Nebraska, and Eberwein comes from Woodlands, Texas.  

The Mount Marty Lancer basketball teams will return to the Cimpl Arena tomorrow evening to face Briar Cliff University. The Lancer women (2-4) will face the Chargers first at 6 p.m. with the pregame on KYNT and KYNTV beginning at 5:30. The Lancer men (3-3) will face the #24 Chargers in Yankton to finish the evening.

The GPAC Soccer All-Conference teams were announced Monday. The Lancers women’s soccer team, who finished with a 1-13-2 overall record, had two All-Conference players. Torrye Provencher and Lesslie Romo-Guiterrez earned GPAC All-Conference Honorable Mention.

The men’s team, who finished with a 7-7-3 overall record, had three All-Conference players. Diego Romero, Gabriele Cavallari, and Savas Di Lascio all earned GPAC All-Conference Honorable Mention.
