With a victory, Yankton locks up a home playoff game in the opening round of the Class 11AA playoffs.   • The (3-14) Yankton Gazelles travel west tomorrow for day one of the two day “East-West” Varsity Volleyball Tournament. Tomorrow, the Gazelles square up with Spearfish and Rapid City Central at Central high school, then face off against Sturgis, Douglas, and Rapid City Stevens at Stevens High School Saturday. The Gazelles went 4-1 in the same tournament last year.
  • Yankton Competitive Dance and Cheer, and Yankton Cross Country each compete in their sports respective State Meets Saturday afternoon. Dance and Cheer travel to Watertown, with competition beginning at 11am, while Cross Country travels to Broadland Creek Golf Course in Huron, competition begins at 12pm.
