  • Yankton Gazelles Volleyball suffered a sweep by Class A Dakota Valley last night in their home opener at the Summit Activities Center 25-17, 25-16, 25-14. The Gazelles (0-2), look to right the ship at the Norfolk (NE) tournament this weekend. First game on Saturday squares Yankton up with tournament host Norfolk at 9am.
  • Yankton Bucks Football is back! The Bucks travel to Mitchell tonight for the first game of their season. Head Coach Brady Muth always expects Mitchell’s defense to have wrinkles to account for, tonight is no exception.

  • After finishing 5th in the Pierre Invitational earlier this week, the Bucks Golf squad now travels to Huron this morning to compete in an invitational at Broadland Creek Golf Course. Tee time set for 10am.
  • Yankton Gazelles Tennis (4-2) look to re-enter the win column today as they compete in a quadrangular at Brookings Hillcrest Tennis Courts vs Aberdeen Central, Harrisburg and Brookings. First serve scheduled for 1pm.
  • Today marks the first Cross Country Competition for Yankton, as the Bucks and Gazelles compete at Pasley Park in Sioux Falls for the Sioux Falls O’Gorman Invitational. Competition begins at 4pm. Yankton is under new and first year head coach Caitlyn Savey.
  • Yankton Soccer returns to Crane-Youngworth today, as both the Bucks and Gazelles host Douglas for a varsity double-header beginning at 4pm. Yankton will also host Spearfish on tomorrow morning, beginning with the Bucks at 10am.
