  • Yankton Legion Baseball dropped two Class A League games to Rapid City Post 22 yesterday afternoon by 8-3 and 6-3 scores. Yankton committed five errors in the two-game set, most of which led to Rapid City runs. Joe Gokie took the loss on the mound for Yankton in game one, pitching four innings, allowing three earned runs over five hits. Isiah Schelhaas (Skel-house) was saddled with the loss in game two, pitching six innings, allowing four earned runs on six hits. Yankton was led offensively by Dylan Prouty, who recorded two RBI over the two games, while going 2 for 6 at the plate. Yankton, now 19-8 overall, and 10-5 in Class A play, prepare to host Mitchell in a Class A double-header on Friday at Riverside Field, and are the last regular season home games of the season.   • Yankton Fury Fire split a triangular yesterday evening, defeating the Wayne Dirt Devils 13-5, and dropping a game to the Norfolk Golden Girls 5-1. Yankton was led offensively by Brenna Dann, who doubled three times over two games. On the mound, Emma Wiese picked up the win, striking out three in four innings, while Ellie Wiese took the loss in game two, striking out five in four innings of work. Yankton, now 14-16, prepares for the state tournament July 8th in Sioux Falls. Yankton Fury Red, 23-8-1 is back in action tomorrow, hosting TSC Blaze in double-header action beginning at 630pm at Sertoma Park.
  • Riverside Field is the site of South Central League action tonight, as (3-3) Tabor tries to secure a road victory vs the (6-3) Yankton Tappers at 7pm. SCL action continues tomorrow as well, with (8-0) Lesterville traveling to (1-7) Menno, and (4-5) Crofton visiting (3-3) Tabor.
