  • After two games versus Metro Conference schools, the Bucks Basketball Squad (1-1) play their first ESD Conference matchup tonight at the Summit Activities Center vs (4-0) Aberdeen Central. You can listen live on all KYNT audio platforms, or watch live on KYNTV with Bryce Ladwig. Pregame begins at 630pm/tipoff at 7. Bryce will regularly update you on the progress of the Gazelles basketball matchup on the road in Aberdeen taking place at the same time.
  • The Lancer Women split their non-conference basketball west coast trip, defeating Park University 65-63 on Sunday, and fell short to Arizona Christian 67-44 yesterday afternoon. The Lancers (2-12) continue their GPAC schedule on the 30th, hosting Dakota Wesleyan at 6pm.
  • South Dakota State Women’s Basketball opened the Summit League season last night with an 85-78 win over Kansas City at the Swinney Center. Paige Meyer poured in 22 points on 6-of-8 shooting for the Jackrabbits, her second-highest scoring output of the season. The Jackrabbits will continue its road trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma to take on Oral Roberts at 5 p.m. Wednesday evening.
  • Five Coyotes reached double-figures as South Dakota topped Oral Roberts 90-59 in the Summit League opener yesterday afternoon at the Mabee Center. South Dakota (8-4, 1-0) won its eighth-straight Summit League opener by scoring a season-high 90 points. USD’s 90 points were also the most given up by Oral Roberts (5-7, 0-1) this season. South Dakota continues its three-game road stretch with Kansas City on Wednesday. Tip-off is set for 2 pm at the Swinney Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
  • South Dakota State started off the conference season with a dominant 89-57 victory over Kansas City last night in Frost Arena. Five Jackrabbits scored in double figures, including three players off the bench. Douglas Wilson led with 16 points while Luke Appel followed closely behind with 13 points. SDSU will host Oral Roberts on Wednesday, Dec 22nd, in Frost Arena with the game scheduled to tip at 7 pm.
  • Max Abmas scored 32 points, but it was Oral Roberts’ supporting cast led by guards Issac McBride and Trey Phipps that made the difference in an 82-73 win against South Dakota last night inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in the Summit League opener for both teams. It was the Coyotes’ first loss at home this season in seven games. They next host Kansas City (5-6, 0-1) Wednesday at 7 pm. The Roos lost at South Dakota State 89-57 yesterday in their Summit opener.
