  • The Yankton High School Wrestling Program rolls out the mats for their first regular season competition tonight as they host a triangular with Beresford and Watertown in the Summit Center. First match begins at 5pm.
  • The South Dakota Volleyball program is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in four seasons where they will take on 12th seeded Minnesota Golden Gophers in Minneapolis tomorrow for a 7pm first serve. The Coyotes earned an automatic bid into the tournament by winning the Summit League Tournament this past weekend.
  • The Yankton Gazelles basketball program tips off its season tomorrow night as they host Sioux Falls Lincoln at the Summit Center. You can catch the actin live on all KYNT audio platforms as well as KYNTV with Bryce Ladwig. Pregame coverage begins at 630pm, kickoff at 7.
  • The South Dakota women’s and men’s track and field teams have been picked second in the Summit League Indoor Track and Field Preseason Poll released Wednesday by the league office. The Coyote women tallied 42 points with two of the eight first-place votes in the preseason voting by the league’s head coaches. South Dakota’s men tied with South Dakota State for second in the preseason poll with 29 points and one first-place vote a piece. North Dakota State was picked as the preseason favorite for both the men and women.
  • Summit League champions South Dakota State claimed all four of the Summit League’s postseason honors for cross country as Leah Hansen and Gabe Peters were selected as athletes the year and Rod DeHaven earned coach of the year honors in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
