  • Yankton Gazelles Volleyball (10-11) hosts ESD rival (12-3) Pierre tonight at the Summit Activities Center. You can catch the action live on all KYNT audio platforms as well as KYNTV with the voice of Yankton athletics, Bryce Ladwig. Pregame 630/first serve at 7.
  • Yankton Competitive Dance and Cheer will compete in the ESD Meet today in Watertown. Competition is set to begin at 5pm. The Yankton Dance Team is coming off a 1st place finish in Mitchell this past Saturday.
  • The Yankton Cross Country squad gets prepared for the Huron Invitational today at Broadland Creek Golf Course. Varsity competition begins at 4pm.
  • Tomorrow, Bucks football travels north to Brookings with intentions on making a statement to Class AA, as well as avenge their lone regular season loss a season ago, a loss that cost the team an ESD championship.   • The All-Tournament Team for the Class A Fastpitch Softball has been released. The Yankton Gazelles have three players on the team. Senior shortstop Addison Binde, Junior pitcher Grace Behms, and Junior 1st baseman Elle Feeser. The Gazelles finished 3rd in the State Tournament and ended their season with a 16-15-1 record.
  • After knocking off number 13 North Dakota last Saturday, number 21 South Dakota will turn their attention to Northern Iowa this Saturday. This week’s game will feature two of the top defenses in FCS.  Both teams are allowing 15 points per game to foes. South Dakota ranks 10th nationally in rushing defense and 12th overall.  Coach Bob Nielson knows that UNI is a team that will bring many challenges. Kickoff is set for 4pm in Cedar Falls, IA.
  • Mount Marty split a soccer double header against the University of Jamestown yesterday. The women fell 4-0 and are now 1-11 overall, 0-8 in GPAC play. The men were able to grab the 2-1 win and get back to 500 overall, boasting a 5-5-1 overall record. 3-4 in the GPAC. Mount Marty will travel to Mitchell, SD to take on Dakota Wesleyan on October 16th. Kickoff will be at 3:30 PM CT. On October 23rd the Lancers will host Morningside University in their final home match of the season starting at 3:30 PM CT.
  • The MMU football team returns to Crane Youngworth field this weekend for Lancer Days. The Lancers will face Concordia University who is 3-3 on the season. Pregame starts at noon with kickoff scheduled for 1pm. You can catch all of the action on KYNT or any of our KYNTV platforms.
