  • The Gazelles volleyball squad seeks their first victory of the season today as they travel to Class A powerhouse Dakota Valley for an inter-class showdown. First serve is scheduled for 715pm.

 

  • The Mount Marty Athletic Department announced the hiring of Marissa Caballero as the new Men’s and Women’s Head Tennis Coach as well as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. Caballero, who is originally from Grandview, Washington, previously served as a graduate assistant for the Women’s Basketball program at Mount Marty. Marissa will be replacing former head coach George Ekeren as tennis coach and Logan Wagner as assistant basketball coach.

 

  • After the long wait, Yankton Bucks football is finally set to kick off their 2021 campaign tomorrow as Huron comes to Crane-Youngworth Field for a 7pm kickoff. You can catch the action live on all KYNT and KYNT-V platforms beginning at 630pm with color analyst Jacob Wuertz and the voice of Bucks football, Bryce Ladwig.

 

  • After falling 310-313 to Brandon Valley on Tuesday, the Bucks golf squad now saddles up for the trip north to Huron tomorrow for an invitational teeing off at 10am.

 

  • South Dakota fifth-year senior Sami Slaughter and junior Elizabeth Juhnke were named Players to Watch in conjunction with the Summit League Volleyball Preseason Coaches’ Poll announced Wednesday. South Dakota, coming off a 15-7 season, a Summit League tournament title and an NCAA Tournament Berth, was picked to win the league by the coaches. The Coyotes garnered 78 points in the voting from the league coaches, including six of the ten first place votes.
