• The Gazelles Volleyball squad took a loss in their season opener at home last night versus defending AA State Champion Sioux Falls O’Gorman in three straight sets (25-12, 25-17, 25-16). Despite the scores, the Gazelles showed spurts of offensive consistency and defensive resilience, displaying a more confident looking squad on the floor at the Summit Activities Center. Chloe McDermott led the Gazelles offensively with 10 kills, and did so many times in powerful fashion.

The Gazelles, now 0-1, travel to Dakota Valley on Thursday, with first serve set for 715pm.

 

  • The Yankton Bucks golf team fell to Brandon Valley yesterday afternoon by just three strokes (310-313) at Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton. Brandon Valley sported the top two individual scores, as Logan Kelling and Colby Meyer posted 71 and 76 scores respectively. For the Bucks, Easton Vellek led the way with a 77. The Bucks now travel to Huron on Friday for an invitational teeing off at 10am.
