Yankton Post 12 (13-20) heads out to the Twin Cities today to prepare for the Gopher Classic, a five-day, 96 team tournament pitting regional Legion teams against each other from multiple states. The classic is something Post 12 has participated in for years, with the exception of last year due to the pandemic. Coach Lawrence is excited for his team to experience such a unique event.
Yankton plays their first of five games at the Classic tomorrow, with the first pitch against North Saint Paul at 9am.
