University of South Dakota alumni Chris Nilsen has qualified for tonight’s finals in the U-S Olympic Trials pole vault competition. Saturday night in Eugene, Oregon Nilsen had a vault of 18 feet, 6 ½ inches to reach the finals this evening. The top three vaulters will represent the United States at this year’s Olympics in Tokyo. Coyote fifth-year senior Ethan Bray finished 15th in the Olympic Trials qualifying.
