Yankton Post 12 split two games on the first day of the 19th annual Lewis & Clark Classic for Legion baseball. In the opener, Yankton scored the first three runs but Norfolk dominated the rest of the game on their way to a 10-4 victory. Yankton blanked Omaha South 8-0 last night as Drew Ryken pitched the five-hit shutout. Yankton Post 12 is now 7-8 on the season and will host Blair at 11:45 this morning at Riverside Field. KYNT will have the broadcast with Tehl Tanner starting at 11:15 with the game also on all the KYNTV platforms.
Vermillion, Brandon Valley and Huron each won two games yesterday in the Lewis & Clark Classic. The semifinals and finals will be played Sunday at Riverside Field.
