The Yankton Gazelles ended up in fifth place at the ESD Conference Golf Tournament Wednesday at Lakeview GC in Mitchell. The host Kernels won the conference title with a 337 total, while Yankton finished fifth with a 359 score. Halle Stephenson led the Gazelles with an 83 as she tied for 5th in the ESD meet. Jillian Eidsness shot an 89 and also earned All-ESD honors with a 14th place finish, while Tatum Hohenthaner ended up 17th after carding a 91 yesterday.
The Gazelles will compete in the Class AA state girls golf tournament next Monday and Tuesday at Bakker Crossing Golf Course in Sioux Falls.
