MMU Baseball and Softball Prepare For GPAC Tourneys

After losing the opener 11-1 on Saturday, Mount Marty regrouped and blasted 21 hits in an 18-8 win at Dakota Wesleyan to end the regular season.  Josh Roemen hit for the cycle for the Lancers, while Mason Townsend had six hits on the day.  Mount Marty has a 28-17 overall record, and finished 16-11 for third place in the G-PAC.  The Lancer will face Jamestown Thursday at Noon in the Doane Bracket for the G-PAC Baseball Tournament in Crete, Nebraska.

The Doane Tigers softball team swept Mount Marty by scores of 4-3 and 8-6 at Sertoma Park on Saturday.  The Lancers are 19-18 on the season, and placed seventh in the G-PAC with a 10-12 record.  Mount Marty plays Morningside Wednesday at Noon in Sioux City in the G-PAC Softball Tournament.
