Yankton won a total of 18 events in a home track and field meet against Sioux Falls O’Gorman yesterday at the Middle School track. Freshman Austin Gobel was first in the 100-meter dash and long jump, while sophomore Cody Oswald took both races in the hurdles. The Bucks and Gazelles will compete in the O’Gorman Invitational on Friday, and will have entries in the Howard Wood Dakota Relays this weekend in Sioux Falls.
Yankton won a pair of boys tennis matches Tuesday on the home courts, defeating Lennox 7-2 and beating Vermillion 8-1. The Bucks are 11-4 on the dual meet season, and will compete in a triangular in Madison on Saturday.
The Yankton girls golf team downed Harrisburg 366 to 379 yesterday at Baker Crossing in Sioux Falls. Tatum Hohentanner led the Gazelles with an 84 to place second individually.
