South Dakota Prepares for Medical Marijuana

A system is being put into place in South Dakota to allow residents to apply for a medical marijuana card to be kept track of and dispensaries will need to be licensed and registered at both the state and local level.  South Dakota Secretary of Health Kim Malsam-Rysdom says this system will help the state and law enforcement.

Even though the state law passed by voters becomes effective July 1, the system should be ready to go in late October and cards can be issued to patients by mid-November.
