The Yankton Bucks tennis team began their season Monday with a pair of impressive victories over strong ESD Conference rivals. Yankton edged Mitchell 5-4 and then topped Brandon Valley 6-3 on the home courts. Junior Gage Becker, eighth-grader Zac Briggs and freshman Miles Kraskee each won a pair of singles matches, and Becker teamed up with Quentin Moser for two wins at number-one doubles. The Bucks will host Sioux City Heelan and Vermillion in a triangular today indoors at the Easton Yankton Archery Center.
