The National Football League’s all-time leading scorer is being inducted into the Academic All-American Hall of Fame. Placekicker Adam Vinatieri from Rapid City and South Dakota State majored in fitness and wellness and was an Academic All-American for the Jacks in 1994. Vinatieri scored 2,673 points in 24 pro seasons, holds the NFL record with 599 field goals and has four Super Bowl rings.
