Sioux Falls Roosevelt scored the first ten points last night and put together a big second half to defeat the Yankton Bucks 69-43 in the Class AA semifinals last night in Rapid City. Roosevelt shot 50 percent from the floor, while the Bucks hit only ten percent from three-point range. Senior Matthew Mors led Yankton with 18 points, and the Bucks will face Sioux Falls Washington in the third place game at 6:00 tonight with our broadcast starting at 5:30 PM on KYNT Sports.
Vermillion scored only 12 points in the second half and St. Thomas More rallied to beat the top-seed Tanagers 35-32 in the Class A semifinals Friday in Sioux Falls. Vermillion meets Winner at noon today in the seventh-place contest.
Top-seed DeSmet defeated Viborg-Hurley 56-44 on Friday in the Class B semifinals at Aberdeen. The Cougars will take on Dell Rapids St. Mary for third place today.
